Last Second Change

In that v e r y last second before the lights all change
Before the world gives up a sad last spin
Past the flashing signs advertising nothing we all know,
Before the mass graves sown by lies and greed are full
Watch those who speak of truth bury it with words
When there is only now and forever now
Is not given without an increasing price,
The spirit that is in life once free to be stolen and consumed
A war between articulate grace and an unholy, foul vicious beast,
Watch the lower nature play the winning hand and you fall
What happens then? There may be arrangements to be made.
In that very last second before the lights all change

Ah, the ethos of it all. Having to wait at the lights for the changing both ways of my daily commute makes for a suited background for "ponderment." Thanks for shaing!
