*****
Felt like night spirals down
In a glittering gown
On a flight of stairs the light below
Turned our look a curious shade
You looked so gone all in a blink
Somewhere so quick it made me think
Of how our summers so soon do fade
As though we only dream awake
Of things that seem or else may be
All this you were and are to me
So soon I found the time did take
What was there for me of you to know?
In a moment now forever past
With my beautiful iconoclast
I waited outside inside the snow. . .

In The Snow
We waited outside inside the snowFelt like night spirals down
In a glittering gown
On a flight of stairs the light below
Turned our look a curious shade
You looked so gone all in a blink
Somewhere so quick it made me think
Of how our summers so soon do fade
As though we only dream awake
Of things that seem or else may be
