Aye, a profit's object always justifies it means via crass rationalisation or delusionary denial or worst, elective ignorance.

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" The Bible of capitalism asks different questions, accepts easier answers . . . in my career I've heard them all, seen the consequences, and no doubt my soul is the worse for it. Your few penetrating words inspire troubling questions of their own.
