My Smile's Alive

My smile walks beside me
Grasps life boldly
Splashes happy
Stains my cheeks with joy

Tiny human laughs out
Streams of clearest pleasure
Tosses caution like a toy
Bravely climbs the tallest furniture

My smile dances and wiggles
Squirms as she giggles
And paints my heart with glee
She frolics and wriggles
She claps and she jiggles
Vibrant, alive is she

Oh I needed that! :) Your choice of words for your descriptions do make it dynamic and bring it all alive. It is bouncy and so happy, a definite feel-good effect. Just so beautiful and an absolute ode to the most wonderful joy of parenthood. Those are the thoughts that come to me. So very good :)

Very complex rhyme scheme here that had me reading several times. Jubilant and soaring.

I have a new six-month-old grandson and your poems of your daughter say all the things I haven't the words for.
