A Eyes

When tomorrow's already yesterday
And today's memory opens like an app
The audio visual illusion
Illustrated world

When language is a hypnotic tool
Sleepwalkers dream someone else's life
Costs more than they will ever be
Paying a heavy penalty
For nothing

Is given when everything's taken
Collected from the faces
Blank with preprogrammed expressions
Fed like chemicals into the neural plexus

Open those veins
Concrete the sky and sea
Dimensions determined
Defined by a medium security prison
Pixilated locks and bars

Digital encoded brain

Tomorrow's keys
Already yesterday.

I find that this is strong and effective. The reader finishes with an uncomfortable feeling that isn't easily shaken. As per your usual, this is excellently done.

Another powerful piece, my friend, that seems to present innumerable possibilities as it snaps shut. The title intrigues and I find the first verse especially appealing, 'The audio visual illusion / Illustrated world.'
Strong writing from The Salon - applause!
