E. Town Blues
Will you wake up
Are you alive?
Well I went on down to Egypt Town
It was late in the morning one night
Saw all God's children bowing down
Lamenting about a lost birthright
Saw old Pharaoh on a Golden Throne
Proclaiming;
Go ye forth and let buildeth me a pyramid
Make it many cubits high in stone
And all the little children did just as he bid.
Will you wake up
Are you alive?
If you ever find yourself in Egypt Town
With your eyes blinded by the glory of Man
Suggest you get out of there fast as you can
Along with God's children all go bowing down.
