With thanks to Lawrence Beck , and his poem '' Sadder But Wiser '' .

I FOLLOWDE A RAINBOW

I followed a rainbow

It was said I'd find

A crock of gold buried

At it's end

I reached it's end

I dug how I dug , till I

For sure I found gold for sure

Only to find it were

Only gold for the foolish

Excellent follow-up, Ken. I'm not sure which is more depressing: the idea that there are no pots of gold, or the one that pots may be found, but they're never what the finder had hoped they'd be.

Fool's gold will get ya every time! ;) Makes me think of chasing dreams, but the kind that are way out there and unreachable. But I've got to believe there's a slither of hope somewhere in the mix just the same... that's what keeps a lot of us going, I think :)

I see what you mean but I've got to believe that the gold exists:)
