THE TRUTH OVERHEARD

You were kind of fond of saying

'' You are one of our closest friends ''

That were rather less honest

I were kind of suspicious to hear such words

Then one day , I made a call to you

When you were informed it was I on the phone

I herd you say '' OH NO '' '' HE'S SO BORING ''

You said , with meaning

Your other half said '' just find out what he wont's ''

'' Then will be rid of him ''

My suspicions confirmed

At least when you over hear you hear the truth

Though the revelations heart , scars the mind deeply

The pain of knowing throbs still , now it's been thirty years

Something died that day

Ken, I think many of us have been in a similar situation and it does hurt - but it also serves to make us wiser I think (well I hope so) - there is the other form where you are made to be an object of ridicule, as hurtful and as harmful

Not a pleasant situation, for sure. It stings like nothing else, and that's what I got from this. Hope you're ok if that's lived personally. *hugs* xx
