Dreams Of Light*
Late at night, in a dark hour
When the ocean spreads eternal limbs,
Opening like a flower
Growing dreams of light, live where she swims,
There are realms beyond myth and kin
Nightmares straining at leashes barely mere
Waves of her washing me away somewhere
Deep breathing her breaths with my skin,
Key to life, writing the words in worlds of sand
An infinity of shells covering, opening
Forever answering spells, lost again, wondering
At the sacred peace held in her secret hand,
Eyes blink sleep, dark stars devour
Every dream is bought and sold for nought
Realms of imagination, food for thought,
Late at night, in a dark hour
Growing dreams of light, live when she swims
Where the ocean spreads eternal limbs
Opening like a flower...
