THE STRANGER

There was this stranger , that none know at all

Yet that stranger no one seemed know at all

That stranger could strike up a conversation with some one

Any one , as if prearrange to meet up

You'd think to see them talking , chatting deep in conversation

They'd been friends , bosom buddy's many a year

Should you ask '' a friend of yours? ''

'' how long have you known each other? ''

'' That that stranger? ''

'' No idea who that stranger is ''

'' We've just met ''

'' But that stranger sure knows me ''

You've described my mother . . . she never met anyone who stayed a stranger for long.
