the arrogant brain

my brain is arrogant
it replaces people's words
with phrases of its own choosing
distorting and twisting
intent and meaning
until finally
meaning is subverted
it becomes

pervasively negative
subtly insidious
completely and utterly
destructive

I thought I'd ended it
but it always come back
a psychic tumor
remission eternal
