LOOKING BACK

As we look back , we can wonder

Have we made a difference?

Maybe that's not fore us to say

We meet unknown numbers of people

Will they remember us? recall us?

If so , how will they? by what?

A word? by a few words? many words?

Some actions we took or did?

Maybe a joke , we cracked at the just the right time?

A smile , that wormed some one as we passed them in the street?

Time taken to listen , to some one who needed to talk , get something of there

Chest

Maybe some a chance meeting , who had worry's , in need to be listened to

Nether , spoke the others language , but you know how to listen , and that

Made a difference , maybe between life and death , persuaded some one to

Try again

Yes , we , you and I will be remembered , though some will forget our name

May never have known our name , but we will be remembered

In a lot of cases, we may make a difference and not be remembered. That's okay. Remembrance is less important than the act itself.

If our acts of kindness or assistance are rendered without our name attached, they will be remembered for what we were rather than who we were.

Questions I often ask myself . . . I think (and hope) that it often will have been some random and unplanned acts, little noticed if at all at the time, that will have affected more people than we realize in more ways than we know.
