FUNNY OLD WORD IS LOVE
Some use the word , love all to easilyWile others choke on the word love , a shame
Leave the word love unsaid , mores the pity
A girl , a woman , can and on the whole , say the word often
Say to a friend , a woman , friend that is '' love you '' on parting
Fore blokes , well , should a man say '' love you '' to a bloke
He'd be given , and old fashioned kind of look , you know what I'm saying
His sexuality questioned , in a look , a stare , a raced eyebrow , maybe
So men tend to sadly avid using the word love , at all cost , live to regret
Not saying I LOVE YOU! , ME OLD MATE , MY FRIEND
I have this mate , we've , friends , mates what seems a life time now
We talked , we listen , some times shed tears at times together , never
Embarrassed
Been each others rock , some times each others oak tree , the rock may rock
The oak bend , but never brakes , the rock , never chips , so never shatters
Some times we let rip , right angry , '' well you get that '' , as he would say
We'd rock a bit , bend somewhat in that wind , that blows up like a hurricane
The storm subsides , calms down , we see each other reassuringly smiling
One day out of the blue , me mate said '' I love you '' , then he wented as he
Would say , we like to invent words , we're like that do the two of us it's our way
Both sober as temperance members
Now I say on parting after a chin wag '' love you '' , then I wented , go about
Me day or night
We are both hetero , straits , as some may, say as it happens
We have never met in the flesh so to say
We've been best mates , best friends , since we first met
We have said , what was needed , then and now
Me mate not so well , when it were me , he were in touch , evrey day
He carried me through my darkest days and nights
We love each other as only true mates , true friends can and do
LOVE YOU MATE!
