Rest.

Par soi-même
Yet encircled by delicate flowers
Forwarning the plea
'handle with care'

Tulips and daisies,
Roses too
They all vanish
Come winter's cue
How to stroke each individual petal
By now, he knew.

Except the rambling vines
That encased his home
Instructions. extinct.
Unheralded, aimlessly they roam

He enabled himself to nurture them
For nothing but the promise, he found
That they will infact stay with him
All year round.

Expert handling of rhyme. Enjoyed.

There's something beautiful in the solidity of the vine, of the staying... I like this one very much.
