Winter Planes
Last Winter, the storms came, learning to live in the cold
Trees bent and wept as the North wind swept hollow planes into vanes of snow
Fluted castle ramparts shone in roseate dawns while Pegasus armies smote the sky
As icy talons carved like bones across frozen whispers wandering caravans of why
Asked;
For coats of camel coats of bear, furs to shelter forms of lights
Flickering wanly, disappear steel embrace burning nights,
Dimensions of rivers, summers to enfold
Last Winter, the storms came, learning to live in the cold.
