Watch Without Time
Once I tried to catch a momentÂ
But as one might suppose, Time just flew
As the wise ones say, "who knew?"
It was certainly not I who saw the limb
Upon which a very glimpse was seen to perch
For when the very terra firm itself did seem to lurch
"What was that all about?" one might ask and rightly so
Although may be the first to ask is just as well the last to know
So cast about your shadow yet awhile the wild birds sing and seasons chime
The hours ever shorter grow and the dark is one long shadow without time
