Listened Low
Too early to go forwardToo late to turn back
There's a temple in your forehead
Where the people come to dance
Holding themselves in a trance
A little off the beaten track
The horizon opens slowly forget to breathe
Somewhere suspense accounts about to be closed
A smoky cough where clouds part to reveal
What you knew you don't know not a great deal
Is left to be said although not as supposed
Where the world squeaks out of turn aside from here
And if you speak with words that listen low
Silent moments come to pass the time of day
Light draws objects until taking them away
Knew once you said to me, "you never know"
As I spoke with words you listened low .
