Coffee Sea
In a china blue cup rowboat on a hazelnut coffee sea
Oars are spoons playing wake up tunes of a day yet to be,
Some sense of self clicks into place, back from someplace faraway
The waves subside, a peek outside, into the drink onto the day,
Unplug the digital pacemaker device it's time to row
Check the sextant texts, is there anyone there who you may know?
Now feel the wind begin to blend your mind and stir
Paddling thoughts of surface droughts find wonder who you were,
Dreaming deep in other worlds floating in the light of what might be
In a violet hued night sailboat sunk beneath a comforting sea.
