Imploded :-)

It wasn't your name I called,
even when the stars exploded,
as through memory bank I trawled
It wasn't your name I called
from such depths I was hauled,
adrift to float, such love eroded
it wasn't your name I called,
even when the stars exploded.

Such a legacy, no more to be recalled,
inescapable lies, our truth corroded.
We sank, as on hand and knees we crawled
such a legacy, no more to be recalled
from the jaws of fate, my feelings mauled,
inner torment, emotions blunt, imploded;
such a legacy, no more to be recalled,
inescapable lies, our truth corroded.

I was hoping you would join the challenge (it wouldn't be complete without you). The constraints and sometimes compromises of a particular verse form can change one's usual "voice" to something that seems contrived but I would know these as yours anywhere, you are always you. Nicely done, as always.

This reading certainly resonates to the core with the legacy
of basic fundamental emotional conditions which when crossed
with the apparent frailties of human interactions so often results in pain and loss.
