The Perfect Carriage
Deep in a forest of words LoretMy heart is a globe of leaves you wear
Revolving around as though somewhere
Were the perfect to be met
I have held you through the storms of hail
Held fast to anchor when fierce gales were let
Kept faith in you, dreamt of Summers sail
The perfect carriage where your grace is set
Deep in a forest of words Loret
Weave me a robe worn with dreams sewn nigh
Your hands are looms of light, fingers of heavenly nerve
Serve the will of living Grace so high
Must I sigh to breathe in the swift currents of your swerve
The deepest breaths laugh over words written in sad stone
A heavy book to read, yet let us have a look inside
The truth reveals in time just like a casual aside
When the path treads wander forwards would you go alone?
I have been looking for you, can you hear me yet
Upon the sea painting your portraits with ink,
Seeking you deep in a forest of words Loret
Writing Love is your song, hold fast 'ere we sink,
