THE DARK FOREST AT NIGHT
A night of no moon , nor starsI were lost , fear grew in me
My hart beat out a rhythm
The Blues , The Blackness
I felt in side of me
I staggered on , with no ware
To go
I found my self amongst trees
Tall , bending in the wind , in silence
Just the sound of the branches overhead
The strings of my hart playing it's rhythm
Blood pumping , both a defining , tuneless sounded
In my ears
Fear , now , almost contriving me , evrey steep I took
Labored
The trees , now a forest , deep , oh so deep
No way back , the trees now covered my tracks
Block my way back out of the dark , black forest
I was all a lone , oh so alone
I began to hear sounds in the undergrowth , in the bushes
I saw what look like a wolf , it's back to me
The Wolf , look back towards , me
Strangely , I felt no fear , The Wolf , walk on
Then The Wolf look back , as if cheeking on me
Maybe it were that
Then I felt something on my shoulder , light , no wait at all
In my ear I clearly heard '' cor , cor , cor ''
On my Shoulder , a raven , sat , walking up and down
'' Cor , Cor '' , it , were, yes kind of spoke to me
I felt no fear , The Wolf were sat , looking at us both
The Raven , took flight , my fear , I felt returning
Behind me I heard sounds , I look back and saw Black Dogs gathering
Looking to form a pack
I felt the clamminess of the sweat of fear , begin to run down my face
Then I heard , '' COR , COR '' , something fly overhead
Something else brush past me
The Black Dogs , vanished , back into the forest
The Raven and The wolf , came back TO ME
The Wolf , sat beside me , licking my hand
The Raven , once more on my shoulder , close to my ear
'' core , cor '' , so soft and gentle , so reassuring
I stroked The Wolf , tousled The Wolfs ears , got down , The Wolf , licked my face
While The Raven , went '' cor , cor '' , soft and gentile
It's wing , as if stroking my face
Then The Wolf , gently parted , went ahead , just a few feet
Looked back , The Raven , flew off , landing on The Wolf
I folowde , they lead me , out of the dark forest
It was by now dawn , the sun was rising , song birds were in good vice
The Wolf and The Raven , remained with the forest
Both , look at me , I swear they were smiling at me
The Wolf lifted a paw , The Raven , a wing , as if waving goodbye to me
I gave them a wave , I thanked them , wholeheartedly
The Raven said '' cor , core '' , The Wolf gave a parting howl
My guides , my protestors were gone , I was safe , happy , ready to enjoy the my new day of life.
