IN THE BEGINNING

In the beginning there was the spoken word

There were story tellers
Who felt there story's
Should handed down
Problem was the story's
Parsed on and down
Change bit by bit
A word hear a word there
A lines or two missed
Or two lines combined
Some completely vanished , disappeared
Lost in the mists of time

The story tellers sat down
And talk of what should be dun
To remedy the loss of their work
To insure there story's were
Accurately told over the years

They came up with words and writing

So in the beginning , indeed there were words

Yes, in the beginning there were words and stories told to teach a world that was new, but as you say, the stories have changed and some are not relevant today. Although some wisdom remains to be picked over carefully and not used against others.
Well said.
