The Benzos
When the benzos kick in concrete walls fade from view
You feel the trees begin to sing like shining lyres in the night
The leaves grow into zebras rustling like soft thunder on the plain
Rain is falling on the windows of your soul inside the world somehow lives on
Drawn like a horizon with the tip of some divine pen dipped in a river of ink
Golden links of days scatter in the grass and the wind sighs secrets low
Some loves never end, there is more to be known than we know
You may find me waiting like your ghost veiled in blue
When the benzos kick in concrete walls fade from view
