LOCAL FISHERMAN AND A DOLPHIN

The fisherman reeled in the net
The net look full , profit was goner
Be be good , he and his crew smiled
With expectations high

The net had been left out all night to catch fish and all

As the net landed on board their fishing boat
They they saw a dolphin in the net
The skipper reached for his knife
And set to , to freeing the dolphin , his efforts were all in vain

The dolphin had died , in it's panicked it had twisted it self
Snarling it's self more and more in the net

The skipper were a hard man , had to be , his work made him so
But the dolphin , showed his inner self
That he could not control or temper down

He cut , uttering , soft soothing words , as he did so
His fingers moving fast , cutting away the net , to free the trapped dolphin

When the dolphin was freed , by he , the dolphin clearly dead
He pushed the dead dolphin overboard , with a boat hook
Sent the dolphin to the deep

The crew could see tears in his eyes , none said out , for they know
They would be joining the dolphin if any did utter a word
''Right lads '' , '' lets get back to Ramsgate '' , '' got to mend the fooking net! ''

The net was brand new , cost £7 ,000 , the net could be repaired
The dolphin would swim no more

I really felt this. The net could be fixed, inanimate object and all but at the cost of a life.
I hope this didn't really happen.
