The Ballad Of Sara Naiad
Sara Naiad sang high up in a watery treeĀShe lived alone with a deep blue stone brave and free,
Leaves lift her veins of light grew throughout the day
Swaying waves of boughs strands ripples ran ribbons round her hair
Sweet song so soft as heavens made
Melodies of Sara Naiad,
May have played for years beyond ears without sound musical note
An enchantment without time or place all the poems that I wrote
The beautiful Naiad, move like evocative ghosts, shadows on the grass
Passing memories like charmed ballets dancing before her forest streams
An unconscious world spun busily bye her pirouetting into dreams
Where Sara Naiad dances still forever alone, sunlight in a glass....
