A Parting Of Tides
"It is later than you think," she said.Sounding so familiar like a line inked
On the skin of my soul,
"Feels linked to yours Love," was my reply.
"Then why aren't we each equally high?"
Good-bye she waved, my eyes were saved
From capsizing by the boat of a hat I wore
It was certainly not the tides that bore
Me away, besides She spoke again one more,
"This is gone before you blink, just like that."
And taking off my hat in a vain attempt to float
I caught her current drift like a lift downtown
A starry gown came out to frame her smile
An ageless style where the moonlight strayed.
