Catching The Light
The way she caught the lightOn any given day deep inside the night
behind her eyes lurked paradise
so precious and beyond any price
that I had ever earned to pay,
attention to the little things

or ever figure out the way that she thinks?
In equations of eternal spirit
In spirited riddles like a forest of musical trees
where whispers flower growing in plain sight
into a song which sings forever sweet
"Nothing is written in concrete."
she once said to me
On any given day deep inside the night
The way she caught the light...
