"I wound around my swanchen's neckplace a school of shells of moyles marine to swing their saysangs in her silents:" James Joyce Finneganns Wake

9 Haikus For Loretta

Seconds, eons pass
Seasons wear the days away
Burn for you within

Inscribe our names, two
Lovers lost in cold concrete
Wooded afterlives

Millennial oaks
Tower over high heavens
Spirit leaves tremble

Immemorial
Patterns create stairs climbing
Vines of light entwined

Was it only myth?
Laughter, coffee cigarettes
Blue smoke, like your eyes

Shone upon my world
Seeing through dark veils time lay
Before us this fall

Sail dream strewn rivers
Subliminal secret words
Soul etched summit shells

Waves wander away
Sylvan slippers tiptoe dawn
Fades into sunset

Close my eyes again
Shadow pictures paint night walls
Burn with your portraits

Love a good haiku and I got three! My favourite is the final one.

Nabeela Altaf
Great lyrical stuff. This small piece says so much.
