What Lies Ahead
One never knows what lies aheadWhat truths untold must die unsaid
When someone who is closer than closer may be
Dresses you for Winter with Summer still so high
Teaches you at last how to love, only a sigh
Then the sound of seas where the ghosts of thoughts sail
Away afar along the lost shores of Once Forever
The way she walked into your heart as though Life had begun
In her hair was the smiling Sun upon a river's mystery
So elusive, dreams of the dead
What truths untold must die unsaid
One never knows what lies ahead...
