Love My Sheltering
I offered Love a shelteringShe said,"hey compadre got a light?"
Outside the summer heat was sweltering
Really weltering helter-skeltering
In a svelte sweater vest was meltering
As she offered me some insight
How to get a hit of something tight
Into the night's vast all encircling
Human panoply dramatis personae
She said, "Hey Cowboy, you gonna rein all day?"
I felt the waves of heaven pouring from her hair
Thick as a river of Hope she sang a pure high note
Away she flew, me following
Love offering my sheltering.
