A WRITER JUST NEVER SATISFIED

A writer , poet
Completes a work
Then reads that work again
Something , seems to be amiss
Ads , deletes , makes changes
Closes
Returnees
Just , still not right
Sod it , thats it!
Leave it writ as it is!

Move on!
To the next one!

My feelings exactly. To the writer, at least, to me, a poem is like a loaf of bread. A couple days after it's been written, it's lost its freshness. Better bake another.

It's hard to know when something is ready to be shared, but we are pretty lenient here. It feels like we can always come back and fix it if it doesn't sound right.
