Wandering Aliens
If I gave you my word from the depths of my heart hidden in a soul of stoneCovered by waves of deepest night seas wandering alien shores alone,
Like two ghosts when they meet in a mirroring hall of lightning last
Long as they may be torn from the pages of a book life only wrote
Them as an afterthought, perhaps a footnote to times erase
The way it must feel when ghosts embrace only themselves to find
A way through all the paths tangled in some other now so overgrown
With strangling brambles festooned with sickened briars of thorny repast
Covered by waves of deepest night seas wandering alien shores alone
If you gave me your word from the depths of your heart buried in a soul of stone...
