Here's A Light Lorette
Go down to the well tonight LoretteAway up there in a corner somewhere
Up in the vine thread woods of trees
Weaving the wind with fine soliloquies
Nothing to remember or forget
Look, here's a light for your cigarette,
Will you remember what was said Lorette? (often wonder)
If quite like Alice when the roof did hat her head
We were smaller than the thoughts that have misled
Our highs, my soul just sighs the whole heart through
Lorette deep in the well tonight I caught a glimpse of Blue, (to ponder)
All the weighs of days the waitless Knights of Read
Oh Alice our Lorette is gone quite off her head
(Should not she have left herself here with us instead?)
Where there is no one else to hold a verse
Open the book of ghosts unto her guard in page
Lorette perhaps the end is close like years an act to stage
Alice it's just yore age.
Go down to the well tonight Lorette
Away up there in a corner somewhere
Up in the vine thread woods of trees
Weaving the wind with fine soliloquies
Nothing to remember or forget
Look, here's a light for your cigarette . . .
