Late In A Moment
When it is late in a moment with the skyline twinkling aglowAnd you are lost in an inkling of all you don't know
where one foot goes after another
Turned aside upon every path you have never found
A way to laugh it all off why bother?
Arrested ears locked up in years of empty celled promises you kept
To yourself one secret Elysium asylum room recess slept
Lighting temples of orient incense with summery winding wings flying
High unto the highest hills way up where only you ever flew all alone
You wrote your sign like a sigh breathed in stars all falling like the snow
When it is late in a moment with the skyline twinkling aglow
