THE SUNSHINE CAFE
While I sat waiting in no hurryA woman came in she was happy
Life was good - looking fore a available
Table chair so she sit
She went to the counter to order
Came back sat at a vacated table
Still smiling she talked , happily
Moved down from London , sold
Her flat , now had a house
Said how happy she was to live In
Ramsgate - my home town
How she found us locals friendly
Talking to her , friendly like
The cafe her local now
Enjoyed the Coffey like
The cafe served good meals reasonably
Priced
Not a fast meal kind , patience needed
While you wait
Talk to those close bye as the woman from London did
Share a joke troubles shared theirs or yours
Some share , joys , happiness , good news
In the cafe all life represented
Other side of me sits a nanny , granddad , granddaughter
Granddaughter , full of smiles , and grins I smile back and grin with her
A cheeky little girl , she tells me she is four , has four cousins
She names each one
''This is my number one mum , I have two mums '' , we all smile
She says she can count , asks , me can I count ''yes I can '' more smiles
Then we sit counting up to five!
I give my film '' evil '' laugh , she likes it!
The family lunch arrives , granddad , nicks as chip of her plate!
She puts her hand over mouth , conspiracy kind of way
We say granddads , bum going to spanked!
A day in the life of the The Sunshine Cafe
