THE CLOWN (with thanks to Jamsbo Rockda)

The clown wore make up unique to him or her
No one can copy it under pain of become an
Ex clown - his or her membership of the guild
Instantly - terminated - should they dare to use
Anther's - designed - public face

The make up - is slapped on good and thick

Now what lies behind the clowns make up
So thick - bright - with great care and flare

Behind the clowns happy go lucky humor
Slapstick - custard pie down the pants - trousers
Soap suds - download
Smashed in to faces - the crowed screaming - laughing
Fit to bust!
Gallons of water - in buckets - tip over the clowns head
The crowed - just love the silly clowns fun and games

If they could see - just what the clowns thick make up hid
So much pain - so many tears - unshed

The Show Must Go On

A wonderful piece Ken. I think we are all Pagliacci in a way.

Yes great write:)
The show it seems must always go on no matter what.
I have always thought that clowns have a tragic look, the make up is quite macabre.
