Sometimes Will
We met once in a lifetime as the lost sometimes willWe spoke of ghosts of broken childhoods
The blood of the innocent which the savage blind spill
When we touched with hands translucent veins like delicate rivers
Of spiderwebs pulsed with a promise too painful to fulfill
In our thoughts we live in worlds inside the words we write
A way to find the key to see to Light our ways may meet or part
Perfervid shadows fleeting across an obtuse surface concave or convex
Wearing our homespun amulets crafted bells to jinx the hex
Is cast at birth the stolen worth of self the sick sorrow of assaulted senses
Beings so defenseless so sensitive so harmless small and still
We met once in a lifetime as the lost sometimes will.
