My wife has two forms of cancer.

I could Lose her Soon

I could loose her soon
Her body failed her attitude
She is a warrior fighting windmills
Where every battle won stills
Her anger for an infinite moment
Until its time to face her torment

She gathers herself again
Her will fixed on a conception
Of life, newborn grace
Innocent energetic face

Every image scene
Every arm wave gleaned
Every leg push and pull
Every puzzled brow furrowed

Is a new energy source
To keep her focused
On battles to win
On tasks yet to begin
As she fight's down a path
Where an end is not yet cast

I could lose her soon
Or hear her sing a tune
Meant as a message for ears
Who is not quite clear
On the sound of notes
Played until they are rote

This and more are events
She keeps so an infant
Can know her intense
Spirit is never past tense
And though soon may happen
A war is won with memories sown

I missed this one, I'm so sorry to hear of your wife's cancer, not an easy journey, the last stanza is perfect.

I am sad to hear this news. But this piece is powerful and I hope its energy gives her strength to win. Stay hopeful and strong for her.
