To be what you never were and never
Would be,
(Wanted to hold you in an infinite momentary caress
wanted to change time, reverse rhyme
wanted, wanted wanted you)
Once I loved every thing about you, (well almost but not quite ;)
Could not dream of life without you
Hung on every word you said
Feeling like a broken necked fool
With you standing so still and cool,
The jets, throwaway alphabets and beta
Lately wonder what I'm doing here
With this exit door painted like a target on my heart
when nothing more is there to say or do than has gone before
It was all so new and lovely, enchanting like a princess in a spell
Is how I perceived you, strange, alone silent as a stone
I would never be the first to cast one your way
Once I had the will to hope and pray
perhaps never again and not today,
Once I only wanted you...
