POVERTY POVERTY KNOCKS!* (work completed)

Poverty Poverty Knocks - the opening line of a old British folk song opens with those words
That old song as relevant today as it were back then
As more and more are suffering poverty now
Many kids going with out a hot meal - going off to school with out much of a breakfast - with out a breakfast at all
Parents - many single parents - can barely pay their bills - rent - heat - gas - water
Poverty - grinding down more and more
Middle class Brits - being dragged down - with the working class - and the workless
Ques form outside the food banks - none looks up and into the eyes of the fellow quers

It's funny ter do - aint it - folk songs written and sang three hundred years a go
Some how just read and sound as fresh - topical today!
Funny old thing his history - keeps coming back - bight us in the all in the arse!
It's a funny old world we suffer so - in our own ways!

And Xmas - not that far away!

*POVERTY POVERTY KNOCKS: Is a North Of Britain folk song. Can be found on YouTube.
I also recommend: Four Loom Waver . A folk song of and from Lancashire , again can be found on YouTube.

Powerful Ken. I listened to the song on youtube. It reminded me of Mike Harding's King Cotton. Great work.
