Silent destroyers

So where do you run to
when the silent destroyers
keep all the doors closed.

Slaughter the dreams of the child
laid neatly side by side
decaying on life's alter
as the thread of time runs wild
just a collection of yesterdays
burried under the weight of fear
a life in the shadows
a voice too weak to hear.

So where do you run to
when the silent destroyers
keep all the doors closed.

Draw a line on the floor
from the edge of your life
walk to the end
and pick up the knife
cut two holes in the fear
that you've worn for a mask
then look into your soul
every moment could be your last.

Running in the dark
sinking into time
there is no escape
as silent destroyers wait
in the labyrinth of the mind.

So where do you run to
when the silent destroyers
keep all the doors closed
and what is the meaning
of the piano
and the picture
of the red rose.

Very good. The rhyming of piano and closed could have been tighter with pianos. It works as it is a great write, lots of imagry.
