Reason Stands To Fall
Some people stand to reasonMany others stand to fall
Trembling down in fear
To the beast that is us all
Whilst yon Kings feast in Byzantium
With scrofulous minions to heed their every bidding
Under seal of dead chrysanthemum
Sell realities by the truckload, who are they kidding?
Trampling on the least and lost
Offering a feast of frost
A toast to Myths
Of Good&Well
Just stealing gifts
To give to Hell
And High Water once came whence
Where again?
Ever after, on the fence
Pray for rain
Trembling down in fear
Is the beast that is us all
Some people stand to reason
Many others stand to fall . . .
