Tom Ran

I’ve “tamed” many a feral cat,

But this one sure was tough;

I reached out slowly, oh so slowly--

Not slowly enough.

He bolted out the kitchen door

And over yonder fence;

But maybe if he hangs around

I’ll get a second chance.

one trick pony The PoetBay support member heart!
perhaps "cute" is what you expected to hear, but it is kind of a cute poem, you've put a gentle touch on a touchy subject.

even feral cats get hungry, their hunger overcoming their fear. patience and enticement may will out.
