A dark secret

You came to me through darkness
out of my supreme despair
of disappointments and annihilated expectations
fatally depriving me of all my faith in man;
but by the revelation of your personality
with similar experience to my own
you opened up a new world of discovery
of possibilities and promises of love;
and with the abyss of your tragedy
you never failed to give me light and hope,
as if the hell of blood and tears was a prerequisite
for the reward of wisdom and accomplishment.
The black hole of your presence then must needs remain
my arduous passion and continuous addiction
fencing me irrevocably in for good
in your dark universe of love.

Kathy Lockhart
your poetry speaks or cries of the "dark secret" of love. And, as it is so often, love hurts and it brings happiness and the deepest pain of sadness too. Both live together in love. The twins born of love, I suppose.

Such a moving poem Christian. Tears well up and pour down because these words pierce the heart and a flood flows forth.

Romance blends these emotions so beautifully.

the black hole of your presence got me thinking! it seems that you can be pulled in like a black hole does
