Awakening from death
We never met until it was too late.
You had already passed away
beyond the portals of outrageous death
and against your will survived mortality
when you walked in to settle in my heart
in infinite unfathomable desperately tragic sorrow;
and it took some days before it dawned upon me
that I could but join you in your sorrow, but with love.
It was a death of love we had experienced
as a ruthless horrible and unjust shock,
but it was like a lightning joining us together
in a kind of new transcended love
beyond mortality and opening infinity;
but it is far too soon to know or even guess
where this might lead us, as we stand
in the beginning of an undiscovered new infinity.
