Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time
When the sun shone so bright
The skies were clear
I could laugh with childish delight

Once upon a time
I could play all day
Running and jumping
Thinking all was okay

Once upon a time
I felt so free
No worries, no sadness
I could just be me

Once upon a time
Is all an illusion
It never existed
Sorry for the confusion

i certainly do relate to this "illusion"... this is nicely written... every child should be able to remember what this poem tells about of good memories without the last stanza needing to be included... too many can add the last stanza unfortunately... very deep personally and a social wake up call at the same time... it makes one think why these things happen at all... its unacceptable... very strong poem... thanks for sharing :f
