I wrote this for my wife as shes terminaly ill with cancer....... Not much more to say really.
The one you gave me to protect
Please tell me why you're taking her away from me
Please tell me if I wasn't doing it correct'
So now I sit here talking to my photographs
Making memories real to ease my pain
Thinking of the times when we both would laugh
Lord I wish we could do it once again
For now my angel
Go rest your head in feathered clouds
Find your peace in heaven above
Be sure to save a place for me
By your side with warmth and love
We haven't spent enough time together
We've got a life time yet to fill
The love will be here forever
So lord why is she so ill?
God why take away the angel that you sent to me?
The one you gave me to protect
Please tell me why you're taking her away from me
Please tell me if I wasn't doing it correct
