My take on trends.
Starting with the fridge, I have thrown away everything low fat, without sugar, or has a healthy label. They don't spark joy. Now, the fridge is empty, I can ditch that, too. And the cooker doesn't fill me with joy. Definitely no spark there! Out it goes.
And the kitchen sink.
In fact, now I come to think of it, joy is pretty well lacking anywhere in the kitchen. My favourite foods - chocolate and crisps - don't need to be kept in the kitchen. A bowl (spark spark) next to my armchair will do.
So, I have just booked a demolition team for next week, to demolish the kitchen, to replace it with a hot tub covered over with glass to maximise any warmth in the sun.
And if any of the demolition team sparks joy, I'll keep him.

Decluttering
OK! I am decluttering following the Marie Kondo Method. Ditch anything which does not spark joy, she says. Keep only that which sparks joy.Starting with the fridge, I have thrown away everything low fat, without sugar, or has a healthy label. They don't spark joy.
