Like my previous work, i wrote this in 2010

Tell it like it is

I’m knocked back if I talk to loud
I’m locked up if I stand too proud
I’m condemned for the beliefs I hold
But the people won’t be told

Until they’re bowing down to an idol they’re told to love
When peace comes from a gun and not a dove

So we tell it like it is
Let others know what will be
Tell it like it is
Open your eyes and you will see..

A flag is a symbol to be respected
Not be branded with a flame or neglected
It lets you know where you stand
And it’s the flag that rules the land

So when you’re bowing down to an idol you’re told to love
When peace comes from a gun and not a dove

We’ll still tell it like it is
Let others know what will be
Tell it like it is
Open your eyes and you will see..

BRIDGE:
The more laws they make the more criminals they’ll get
And to control a population you remove its common sense.

So we tell it like it is
Let others know what will be
Tell it like it is
When they open their eyes and finally see..

They’ll be bowing down to an idol they’re told to love
When peace comes from a gun and not a dove
