The miracle of death

This is difficult to make explainable,
as this phenomenon transcends all reason,
but still the truth of it is unavoidable
and has to somehow be expounded,
making it definable at all,
which is impossible to most
as few have access to that alien dimension;
but the fact is that you are not dead,
which nothing can bring me to any way accept,
as you remain more palpable now in this condition
than you ever were in our closest intimacy,
as all that remains of you at present
is exclusively yourself with no attachment,
no disturbing concrete details of mundanity,
no beguiling senses or distorted misinterpretations,
but our mutual presence in exclusive permanence
of sensitivity and universal understanding
only of ourselves.

A very profound poem, I feel. A second reading brings forth even more wise fruit. Blessings, Allen
